We got burned early on Thursday night betting both sides with OAK and the OVER. Who knew SF back up QB Mullen's was the next coming for the Niners, or that Oakland couldn't score more than 3 points, after putting up 28 the week before?
As I posted on Twitter , Gut picks are based on Logic, Bad Beats defy logic. So, no more picks that are not also *System Picks. The night games have hurt us this year for that reason - we killed on TNF and MNF last year. You wanna watch - so I want to give you a winner - not anymore. I followed my own advice and filtered the system picks down to 4 winners over the weekend. I also pulled off of a gut pick for the UNDER and Dallas Monday Night that looked like a sure thing - Dallas was 3-0 vs the spread at home this year. The system showed us they lost PO and RZ big - I listened.

This one took some thought. System Loves DEN, but my guts says AZ (who has played a strong schedule) finally shows up at home for a Network Night Game. So Mixed on the Side Bet.
Both teams are near last in Rush Defense, I think that will open up the pass for both teams - especially AZ with David Johnson breaking out tonight. System has it 31-16 (47). I locked in a Total of (40) and look for AZ to take it OVER. Total still low now at 41.5.

Worst week in 6 years. Not just us - the books cleaned up. I hate it when Handicappers call every loss a Bad Beat. Sometimes they happen though. The system made good calls and we came very close to 5-0 this week.

NFL WEEK 5 PICKS
Both teams are near last in Pass Def and Top 5 in Pass Offense (OVER). I also like the balanced attack Falcons have with an explosive pass game (Julio cleared) combined with an explosive run game with Coleman and now also with (Freeman cleared) for Sunday. This is rare and not recommended, but my 2 best picks this week are in the same game....

I called the Over in the ATL game but did not pull the trigger. Jumping on BUF bandwagon after 1 week was a bone head move. The problem has been O-line, not QB for years. But 50% with 1 loss is a lot better than 50% with 10. 2 wins away from 80%.

I like what I saw with Josh Allen leading Bills last week. His ability to run opens up the pass and run game from the backfield. Packers lose Rush Offense and struggled vs WAS. It is early, last week could be a fluke vs MIN - but I was surprised by the line and will take 10.5 and the Bills. Historically - giving 10 with a low total (44.5) is a bad idea. Go Bills!
