NFL PICKS WEEK 7 THURSDAY NIGHT 2015

Post Game
(WIN) Final SEA 20-3
Good start. No smack. Staying humble. On to the weekend.

SEA -6 @SF (42)

PICK > SEA -6
PROJECTED SEA 30 SF 10
OFF - OVER UND

SEA would have been a system pick if not for a poor Red Zone Offense. However, SF has a very weak Red Zone Defense and is near last in every Defensive category.

Kaepenick never learned how to throw a football - he lofts the ball. Can't do that against talented corners. I'm betting the SEA secondary has 2 or 3 INTs before they are done with him.

Lynch is back vs a very weak SF Rush Def - his success running should open up the Pass Game for Wilson.

I am not playing fast and lose with the Bank money. So in spite of not being an actual System Pick - the Hawks are projected to cover and I feel this is a solid pick.

Just to be clear - SEA does "NOT" meet the full standard I'm using to pick winners from here on out. This is a Bank Bet and counts toward our Bank and Record though.

Hi Rick, I received a text from hankwins.com yesterday with 3 picks in mlb and ncaaf. Told me to play 300 each. They went 0-3. C'mon man! I would have been down 900. The only one i listen to for picks is you

Rick Jansen said...

Wow! Hey I really appreciate the feedback and support. Hell @ $900 that makes it hard to make money even if they were right. I hope to do right by you this week.

SEA does not technically qualify under the exact system protocol I'm following now - but I like them to start the week with a win. We'll see. If not - I have confidence most of this weeks picks will. Not rushed and plenty of time to study them all carefully.

Strong lean towards NYG this week for me unless your system calls it off. The mummy of the meadowlands tom coughlin will have them motivated aftet a poor performance in philly. Let me know

Reid said...

3 games very interested in getting your takes on. NYG -3.5, Car -3, Hou 4.5
Please advise

Going to pass on seahawks tomorrow. They do not look like last year. Home dogs went 5-1 ATS last week? Good luck if you play

It's only wed man. LOL. No meaningful injury reports till at least Friday. Ran a partial on NYG for you tho -but that game especially has injury ? marks - Dez Bryant could even play - Cassell starting for DAL - lot of unknowns. But if it helps - looks like Giants projected to cover score wise by about 7 - May change just an estimate. Not final - not a system pick - Giants avg 40% in Red Zone + super weak Pass DEF 25th. Not a fan of Eli, Coughlin or the giants or the Cowboys for that matter. Cassel with Bryant back could be a major improvement for Cowboys? I Like SEA 10 times more than NYG. I could be wrong tho? Of the 3 your my initial gut says CAR could rock Bradford hard at home and cover. I'm gonna study them all hard this week before I call any tho. There wont be any mistakes I miss this week - the system will be applied perfectly to every game and either win or lose.

Rick Jansen said...

If Bryant plays - Giants will probably project to cover more like 3 or 4 right at the spread.

Every team is banged up. I think you're right about NYG. Too many injuries and they looked really flat against eagles.Victor Cruz will not play. No way to tell how Cassel will do. I'll just go with your picks. Sorry I get pumped up about NFL Sun too early

Sorry - Hell NO! You are a welcome, important part of this blog - Love your input and excitement. I'm sorry if I sounded like I was throwing a wet blanket on your picks.

I'm a little frustrated because I have a way to throw the data into my final grid and get an answer on who qualifies early - if I skip injuries. That would save me time and let me focus on only the games that qualify. But I would have to transfer the data strip into the final grid to do so. the injuries take about 5 minutes per game and some have point values that effect the projected score. So if I do them w/out injuries - I have to go back and do them again (x 14 games).

Hey replying to you just gave me the answer. I'll do them all w/out injuries and then just go back and do the injuries on the ones that qualify first. See - you're helping man

Thanks!

Never underestimate our gut!

Your brain processes a lot of data watching games and looking at ATS. If you like those 3 - do a small parlay on them right now. I know you want to avoid having the same team on 2 tickets once you bet the system picks too. But just bet your gut and put that ticket aside like it doesn't exist. Then make your single system picks for any teams you do not already have.

Rick Jansen said...

"Your" gut I mean

Rick Jansen said...

$20 or whatever, cant hurt. Then look at how the parlay performed. See what - if anything you did wrong. In golf we call it self correct. You hooked it? why? Came over the top - OK - adjust - straighten left arm - next hole birdie. The only reason I know anything is because I've made every mistake in the book at least one. Still making them and self correcting every week.

Think i will do 3 team teaser 7 pt. 100 pays 140. At my level of capping i can not pick winners ATS. I count on you for that. I made a profit last week only because i had teams teased (NE, GB,). My ROI is less but it is better than losing. I am trying to learn from you about better handycapping. You are the professor! Thanks

Rick Jansen said...

I think you are on the right track with teasers. Less pay out but much greater odds of covering. If you double your money - that is all you can ask. When I say ATS I'm referring to the great historical trends you often mention. Covers list those as ATS. that's why I refer to them that way. But yeah I'll keep working hard at calling who actually covers A gainst T he S pread

I hesitate to admit how confident I feel about the final process I am using now on the system picks. Could still have some crazy weeks and could be wrong - but long term I have never felt more confident about the system going into the rest of the yr.

Rick Jansen said...

I've got NE by 4-6. Did not match up that well vs NYJ. Teased down to -2 like you're doing sounds much better.

Hawks did not actually qualify but like them tonight. I will post the games that do fully qualify by Tom or SAT.

Reid said...

Since you like seahawks tonight i played 7 pt teaser
Sea, NE -2, Car 4 tonight 100/140
Thanks

Reid said...

Thank you Rick. Thank you Kaepernick. Nice pick. Great start to a winning week

Rick Jansen said...

So far so good. Wanted that last TD too to make it 24-0. but good 17-0 good start Hey! you are up 24-0. That's cheating man. LOL

I'm curious to see if Kaepernick stays in 2nd half. If he doesn't learn how to throw a football - he may be watching from home like us soon.

The SF weak Rush Def did open up the Pass for Wilson as predicted. Looking for some pick 6s still. RB Hyde was not supposed to be active tonight - surprised to see him. only high point SF his one run.

Rick Jansen said...

Were getting the 3 and outs we expected - but SEA not really taking advantage- Lynch doing his job but Jeeez Wilson 2 INTs! He's waiting way too long to get rid of the ball on pass plays. Should already be 31-0.

Rick Jansen said...

Thank you Beast Mode. Way to run it out and close strong.

Reid said...

What's going to happen in a few weeks when SF has to travel to Seattle to play again? Another beat down! Krapernick played awful. I emailed you at halftime when the game was over. Your system predicted the blowout

Reid said...

Hi Rick, you have over 1000 viewers but seems like I'm the only one to take the time to comment. Their loss. I want to get my # to you and talk or text about the games and money management plan. I'd like a gameplan to make profit with your picks. I don't mind paying when you turn pro

Rick Jansen said...

I know man. I never knew I had any until a little over a yr ago - cause no one ever comments. But a follower told me and I checked the stats - sure enough - about 1000 a month. Not sure why - some because its gambling - some maybe a language barrier. At one point there was a problem logging on to comment. But wish more people would. Appreciate your support.

And yeah - follow me on twitter. I'll follow back and we can message our contact numbers that way.

Reid said...

Ok. I will check out twitter. Do not know why every state does not have sports betting. That fan duel fantasy stuff is betting but legal. You are lucky to live in vegas . How are picks looking?

Rick Jansen said...

Nevada came down hard on Fan Duel and Draft kings for that reason - they have to get a gaming license here now. Problem here is we cant bet online.

Re picks -so far only one system Pick may be PIT - insane right? just swore to never bet on Todd Haley's offense. Taking a break from it all - going to a movie - it will be up by round noon tomorrow - the injuries will all be in by then.

Reid said...

I can not play pitt on road with third string QB. Do not have enough guts to risk it. Enjoy the movie!

Rick Jansen said...

Turns out I agree on PIT. KC is desperate and at Home like you say - steelers stack up great statistically tho - well see? Were a System Pick - called off them . Just posted all the games.
